Previously known as Angew Chapman Optometric Services, our clinic has been in operation since 1982. As of 2023, we are officially the Kenora Optometry Clinic. We are proud to be the primary eye care providers for Kenora and its large surrounding population.
Dr. Christiuk obtained his Bachelor of Science with honours from The University of Manitoba. He completed his Optometric training from the University of Waterloo graduating on the Deans Honour List in 2011. During his 4th year of Optometry Dr. Christiuk completed his ocular disease externship with focus on corneal diseases, cataracts, glaucoma and a variety of retinal conditions including diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration. Dr. Christiuk is a member of the Ontario Association of Optometrists and certified by the college of Optometrist to provide medication for the treatment of various eye conditions and diseases.
With patient education at the forefront of her practice values, Dr. Thom strives to provide quality and informed care to all of her patients.
Dr. Thom graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Science in Physiology and Pharmacology. She completed her Doctor of Optometry from the University of Waterloo.
When away from the office, Dr. Thom travels to four First Nation communities in Northwest Ontario to provide vision care.
Passionate about ocular health, Dr. Miranda is dedicated to advocating for her patients’ well-being, and empowering them with the knowledge needed to manage their complex conditions. Dr Miranda graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a Honours Bachelor of Medical Sciences. She then went on to complete her Doctor of Optometry from the University of Waterloo. In her free time you can find her playing the guitar and piano or picking up a new crafting hobby. Originally from Oakville ON, Dr. Miranda has been enjoying exploring Kenora and is always open to recommendations for a scenic hike!
Dr. Thain is originally from Winnipeg, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Winnipeg. Following this, he attended the University of Waterloo School of Optometry, graduating as part of the Class of 2025. Sean is excited to be beginning his career in Kenora, and is accepting patients of all ages! When he’s not in clinic, Sean enjoys hiking, curling and anything outdoors!
Paul is a graduate of the School of Optometry, University of Waterloo. He has a passion for biking and all things barbecued including veggies.
At the Kenora Optometry Clinic, we have an experienced and well-certified team. The majority of our staff members are licensed optometric assistants with experience ranging up to 12 years in the optometry industry.
